Hi Everyone
Happy Easter
I am retired with a 98 transit rv.
We are going up from stawell to katherine, across to broome, down the coast, and back to stawell on the 1st june (fingers crossed),but nahd trouble the other day.
The top pipe came off the turbo pressure valve and can't find where it connects to.
Any ideas?

Hi All,

Kit9, just bought my first car ~ Ford Mondeo (second hand). Am loving it's driveability, awesome, best car ever, Mmm double clutches etc. Also love access to the workshop manual which is mean. Only worked out the oil change and fuel filter change so far, everything else I'd just rather pay a pro to fix 😂 got problem surging revs going uphill 1-200rpm, but I only notice it when I turn the radio off lol, only happens when the engine has warmed up~ anything major to worry about?

Welcome. That's a VE Transit. You've not said which engine but I'm guessing it's the 2.5L turbo-diesel which came in 3 different outputs (85/100/115PS).

From what I can see in the WSM there are two hoses, the intake hose and the intercooler4 hose. Have a look at Section 21-06 and Section 29-02 of the Workshop Manual which is in our technical portal HERE.

You've not said which year Mondeo but I'll hazard a guess at an MC or MD given the DSG. I'd start by scanning for faulty codes using Forscan or similar but my first guess would be a failing IAC (idle air control) valve or a bad wiring connection to it.

There are instructions on this forum in how to use Forscan with a compatible wireless dongle connected to the OBD port.

Hi I have a 1996 Ford XH Ute.
I am having starting problems. It starts readily but idles at about 500 rpm when cold and sometimes stalls.
When I get moving it runs fairly smoothly but still idles slow.
As the motor warms up the idle is smoother and everything runs well.
