I'm old enough to remember when ATM's first came out and the banking unions were totally against it saying it would cost jobs. They had public support until the banks came out and said but it will be cheaper for the public, lower costs to the banks meant better returns to the public. Look how that worked out, fees on fees regardless, savings to business are never passed on. A couple of bills I pay online actually charge me 95cents to process, my option is to pay in person at the one or two physical offices they have and I can pay with EFTPOS so I see no difference to an online transfer. I'm so worn down I don't even argue anymore
