my kids just had kind of the opposite experience. the doctor we've been seeing since my eldest was diagnosed 13 years ago, and my youngest nearly 2 years ago, has decided to retire (how inconsiderate
) he was awesome. a real kid lover, and genuinely loved his job.
the new doc (I wasn't at the last appointment) by all reports didn't endear herself to my kids at all. hopefully after a few more visits things will settle down, but they certainly weren't painting a good picture of their first impression.
having a good doctor/patient relationship plays a big role in the patients attitude I have found. my kids have been very lucky that the educators and dietician we've been seeing have all been constant and nice people.
