Hi HumpMeImFamous, yep can confirm it works with a few minor glitches, like the fact that it freezes after data logging, but other than that it works fine. Here's the ELM327 I bought off ebay.

Took me a while to find the right drivers for the 'prolific usb-serial' adapter but these ones seem to work (the ones on the CD didnt work)
