I still play Street Rod 1 & 2 on a regular basis.
I love the "cheat" somewhere there's a certain car you buy, strip, and sell the shell for a stupid amount of money and it accepts the sale, straight back to the paper for the best car & best bits.
And yeah, DOSBox is awesome for allowing you to play all the oldschool games.
And there has been a team of people working on Street Rod 3, first I heard of it was probably about four years ago, and not much happens on the website, so I really don't know if its ever really going to happen, but would be awesome if it did:
