Ok I was born here, but the folks are from overseas. My folks have done their best to fit in. While they still keep things from what they grew up with overseas, they dont want to offend what has been here for many generations. The folks have friends that are a few generation Australian. They can converse in english (not bad for people that picked it up). They have copped some for being 'wogs', but there are rednecks in every country.
Now I when I went to school I never really copped anything for being of european decent (well there was one guy that was a croation inport that I helped out so he could get his work done, but you get that) so I really dont see this as good use of money. Mind you I'm not Muslim or a Jew so I dont know what they're experiance would be. But in all seriousness they can practice their religion and customs but when they are out in public they need to be tolerant of other cultures and not try change things to how they want it. The best one I've heard is a group of muslims trying to close down the local pub in up in Roxy Park.
