RIP Olivia Newton-John

Possibly, my age, but I was sad to hear the news. Grease was a favourite movie of mine.

Rest in peace, lovely lady.

Watched Grease way too many times when I was a young kid.
(took the kids only a few months back to see it at the drive-in)

ABC radio did a small montage of her music - was surprised how much of it took me back to my childhood

Hi ford71.

Yep. A wonderful talent. Both singing and movie musicals. I'm a closet Grease and Xanadu fan.

Cheers.

I wasn’t much into her music tbh but she came across a good normal person despite the fame…..pity her daughter didn’t follow.
Grease was great for the music mind you Franki Valli I loved his input and Your The One That I Want was perfect for the times and sexed her up madly loved it.
Rip Liv great times of Oz and a sad loss.

She was a bit before my time, but I was shocked to see the news this morning.

As camp as a row of tents, but I have a strange liking for her strong voice in the Xanadu theme song.

Ah, Livvie… Schoolkids singing, to the strains of Physical, “Let me hear your bottom talk”!

She could put a Horn on a Jelly fish..

We were the same age so I watched and listened to her all my life.
She was every teenage boy's dream at the time.
An excellent talent, very easy on the eye and from all reports, a very good person.

She was one of those unique people who were beautiful on both the inside and out. Her and Audrey Hepburn seemed to have this natural compassion for fellow humans, she will be missed.

Re: RIP Olivia Newton-John

Watched that special Sunday night.......
Naturally my wife follows everything ONJ and I've had to watch countless re runs of her movies, yes Grease growing up you always thought meh more of a lady movie but it sure won you over due to the great tunes of the times. Similar to Abba.
Therefore my 17yr old daughter has grown up with ONJ through our viewing and on TV etc....
They both were crying Sunday night.
Despite her fame and great life so many tragic happennings/occurances I feel blessed, I hope her daughter sees the light of less is more one day, I liked how she wanted some of her ashs spread around Byron where her Mum and sisters were also, very touching.
Seriously - I wish todays celebs and all would take a leaf from ONJ natural happy go lucky persona - unpretentious/humble its no wonder how many fellow actors/artists say so many good things about her and we gravitated to her.
Not wanting to sound like a broken record but I hope todays young gen would bring up their kids up like ONJ.

Pretty distasteful comment really. Especially when you consider all Olivia has done to support cancer support and research services in this country. That is one charity that I have no problems receiving phone calls from and helping raise money for.
